Episode 10: The One With The Monkey 1．Chandler: With the
balled-up socks? I figured you taught him that.
balled-up socks: 成球状的袜子。就是在收袜子的时候把它们卷起来的意思。
另外
all balled up这个词组需要注意，它表示心里郁闷，郁郁寡欢。（Depressed; Lots of emotions knotted（v.打结）up inside.）
例：After the breakup, Michelle
felt all balled up. 在分手后，米歇尔心里很难过。

go through: to experience 经历
例: They went through/underwent extreme hardship together. 他们共同经历了极大的困难。
crap: rubbish, nonsense. 在口语中出现crap要特别注意，因为它有时候是shit的代名词。如full of crap 相当于full of shit，表示“讲的都是废话”。
例：She doesn't know what she's talking about; she's
full of crap. 她都不知道她自己在说什么。她说的满口废话。
这里crap则是指Chandler和她母亲间的那些破事、烂事、糟糕的事。
3．Mrs. Bing: Who's
doing shots? 谁想来几口？
do shots: Here shots means jiggers of alcoholic drinks. Shots这里是指盛酒的小酒杯，这里do shots就是指喝几杯小酒。
例：Is doing shots with Mickey Mouse a good idea at a family theme park? 在一个家庭式的主题公园里和米老鼠小酌几杯是否是个好主意呢？

give it a shot/try: 试试看。
例：Give it a shot! You'll never know. 试试看啊！没试怎么会知道！
take a shot at losing weight：尝试减肥
4．Coma Guy: So. I guess I'll
see you around.see you around: “See you around” and “see you later” can be used with no distinction. See you around. 回头见，也可以说see you later, see you soon等。
如果是长时间的道别，则可以添加上一些祝福的话语，例如Goodbye Jane,
and all the best. 再见简，祝你事事顺利。Goodbye Jane,
and good luck.再见简，祝好运相伴。
5． Chandler: Nice save.nice save: The expression is a sporting term which means “you caught or stopped a ball well”. Now it can also mean that you recover yourself or someone else from a difficult or embarrassing situation. nice save常见于观看体育比赛中，观者发出感叹：“这球救得好；这球救得漂亮”。
而这里，nice save用于日常生活中则表示“救场，圆场”，即一个人把他自己或者他人从尴尬的处境中“拯救”了出来。
比如一个人如果出言不逊，另一个来帮他打圆场，则可以形容这种情况为“nice save”。

Mary:” How do I look today?”
Kevin:” You are now the most beautiful bride that ever lived.”
Kevin saw Lucy staring at him with jealousy.
Kevin:”Until your wedding, of course.”
