garner the attention 引起注意


We often associate the verb garner with “granary”, while we neglect its second major usage with the meaning as “acquire or earn”. garner，作为名词时候，可以写成granary，表示“谷仓”，它的动词则由此引申解释为“储藏、获取”。garner the attention 即表示某件事情积聚起了一定的注意力。
