strike/catch someone’s fancy 符合某人心意


When something strikes someone’s fancy, it is pleasing and attractive to someone. strike someone’s fancy和catch someone’s fancy表示某物或某物投某人所好，符合某人心意。

Examples:
I am thinking what I should buy that will strike her fancy. 我想着买什么才能投她所好。
We all have a rough idea of what our perfect partner is like: beautiful, or smart, or rich, or educated or whatever else that strikes our fancy.  对于完美伴侣的样子，我们都有一个粗略的想法: 漂亮、聪明、富有、有教养诸如此类符合我们心意的。
